Private session · one team at a time

Reddit Marketing Workshop for In-House Marketing Teams

Lurk to Lead runs a private Reddit marketing workshop for one in-house team at a time. We walk your team through how Reddit communities work and how to take part openly, as a disclosed brand or employee account. Your team runs Reddit; we teach the process.

Who the workshop is for

Our Reddit training for marketing teams is built for in-house teams that want to run Reddit themselves, and do it in the open.

It's for

  • In-house marketing, content, SEO, community and product marketing teams
  • B2B and SaaS companies that want to participate on Reddit under a disclosed brand or employee account

It's not for

What the workshop covers

The agenda is a set of topics, adapted to your team before the session:

  1. How subreddits are organized and what each community expects
  2. Finding relevant subreddits and reading their rules
  3. Disclosing your connection to the brand: how it works for a brand account or an employee account
  4. Writing posts and comments that are useful to the community
  5. Why moderators remove posts, and what to do next
  6. Roles and approvals inside your team
  7. What to track after you publish
  8. Reddit Ads are not on the agenda. The workshop covers organic participation only.

The agenda: Reddit rules and culture; the brand account and disclosing your affiliation; finding the right communities; writing useful answers; and a review of your team's threads.

How the workshop works

Think of it as Reddit marketing corporate training: a private session for one company, not an open group.

  5. 05

Slides and checklists, plus one 60-minute follow-up call after 30 days: what worked and what to change.

Format: online, one day, 4 hours with a break, for up to 12 people.

What we teach about Reddit's rules

  1. 01

    Disclosed participation only.

We teach participation from a brand or employee account that is clear about who it represents. "Organic" here means unpaid, not anonymous.

  2. 02

Every subreddit has its own rules, and moderators decide.

We teach teams to read and follow the rules of each community. Self-promotion is fine only where that subreddit's rules allow it.

  3. 03

    Reddit Rules set the baseline.

They ask users to abide by community rules and not to spam or engage in disruptive behavior, including content manipulation, that interferes with communities. Read the Reddit Rules. Our own position: we don't teach vote buying, ban evasion or account networks.

  4. 04

One account, kept in good order.

We teach teams to look after a single brand or employee account. No networks of accounts.

  5. 05

    No affiliation with Reddit.

We use the word "Reddit" only to describe the platform.

    See Reddit's trademark use policy

Frequently asked questions

Will you post or run our Reddit account after the workshop?

No. We teach the process and your team does the posting. If you want 1:1 help with your own plan, see 1:1 Reddit advisory.

Can you adapt the topics to our product and team?

Yes. We go through the agenda with you on a short call before the workshop, so the topics fit your product and your team's experience.

Is it online or in person, and how long is it?

It is online and takes one day: 4 hours with a break, for up to 12 people.

Does our team need Reddit experience or an existing brand account?

We adapt the workshop to where your team is today. We don't create an account for you.

Can you guarantee results after the workshop?

No. Results depend on the communities, their moderators, your product and the work your team puts in. We can teach the process, but we can't promise traffic, leads or any other outcome.
